Stewardship for 2021

You Are Not Alone – Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Is With You!”

The Fall Stewardship Appeal launched in September with the announcement of the theme and creation of yard signs displaying the theme. Videos by members and families who have participated in or experienced the impact of Good Shepherd’s ministries during the pandemic became part of our online worship services. In October, members receive a mailing that includes a letter from Pastor Amy and Congregation President Linda Donoghue, a Statement of Intent form, and a handout of photos and brief statements by people in the videos. The Fall Appeal for 2021 concludes with submitting Statements of Intent during worship on Stewardship Sunday, November 15.

Yard Signs – Displayed at individuals’ homes and in Good Shepherd’s front yard from early October through mid-November, the signs announce to our neighbors and community that during this pandemic, Good Shepherd’s ministries are ‘open’ and at work in our congregation, community, and the world.

Mid-October Stewardship 2021 MailingIncludes Pastor Amy and Congregation President Linda Donoghue’s letter, a Statement of Intent form, and a handout with photos and brief statements by the folks featured in the Ministry Testimonies Videos. The letter is available here. In it, we are reminded that though our building is closed, worship opportunities and Good Shepherd’s ministries have remained ‘open’, active, and widely available during this time of COVID-19. The letter offers suggestions for continuing and possibly increasing one’s financial support for all of Good Shepherd’s ministries and initiatives in 2021.

Ministry Testimonies – Members and families were invited to share “You Are Not Alone” Videos about the ministries of Good Shepherd in which they’ve participated or have experienced during the pandemic. These videos are part of our online Sunday worship services this fall and also available for viewing here.  The mailed handout featuring photos and brief statements by folks in the Ministry Testimonies is available here.  Videos are available at the bottom of this page.

Online Stewardship Sunday, November 15, and Submitting Statements of Intent There will be time during the offering for worshippers to declare their Intent by filling out the Statement of Intent form. The online form is found and can be submitted here.  Paper forms can be returned by mail or submitted to the church office using the drop box by the west door.
