Stewardship Appeal 2020

Our fall Stewardship appeal, “OPENING OUR DOORS, OPENING OUR HEARTS” illustrates the ways Good Shepherd Lutheran Church shares its building with the larger community and gives freely to God’s world. As part of our Stewardship appeal, we are inviting you to consider how you can be part of what God is doing through Good Shepherd.

During the month of October the Stewardship Committee will sponsor two adult forums as a part of the 2020 Good Shepherd Stewardship Appeal.  The first is October 13th and strictly involves the HVAC/REMODEL project.  The second is October 27th and consists of the witnessing of some of the ministries of Good Shepherd Church.

October 13th the Stewardship Committee will sponsor the Adult Forum with the AF Committee as a part of our Annual Stewardship Committee Appeal.  It will be held in the Fellowship Hall and will be broken into two parts.  We will attempt to hold each of the two topics to 30 minutes, including presentation and questions. This is an Adult Forum and not an official congregational meeting.  Our goal is to be open and totally transparent about the project.

Part 1–Facilities Improvement Committee (Lindsay & Jim):
 * HVAC/Remodel update
 * HVAC/Remodel costs

Part 2–Good Shepherd Treasurer (John):
 * HVAC/Remodel Special Appeal
 * HVAC/Remodel loan repayment

October 27 we will present the witnessing of our ministries of Innovative Services (Jazz, Lent, Maundy Thursday), Kinderhaus, Prayer Shawl and the Communications Subcommittee.  Jon Ailabouni, Steve Zittergruen, Ruth Bruce and Jane Kemp will be the presenters.

This is the third year we have sponsored this type of adult forum and the first two have been well received by the congregation.  In the past we have focused on some of the most visible of the many ministries at Good Shepherd.  This year the committee has elected to highlight some of the less visible, yet equally important, of our congregation’s ministries.
