I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you. Philippians 1:3-4
This directory is a wonderful gift to help us remember each other and stay connected. It keeps our faces in front of one another, it reminds us of birthdays, it shows us that we are part of Christ’s body and God’s family on earth.
I encourage us to use this directory as a reminder to pray for one another. You might try this simple practice: anytime you go to the directory to look for someone’s phone number or email, take a moment to say “God, thank you for (insert name), please bless (insert name).
My practice is to pray through the directory every morning. The words of Paul in Philippians guide me, “I thank my God every time I remember you.” I repeat the words “beloved of God” over and over as I look at your pictures and remember your joys and sorrows before God. If there are particular things you’d like me to pray for, please let me know.
Let’s also use this directory as a reminder to reach out to those not pictured here, those who may not feel as welcome among us. Let’s use this as a reminder to reach out to those who don’t have a church family.

Message From the Directory Committee
This Good Shepherd Family Directory is produced in both online and paper formats. It was created and is being maintained by Courtyard Church Directory Software.
For more information or if there are questions, consult the Church Directory FAQ’s that follow. Here are answers to the most common questions about the new directory:
Who can view the online directory?
Only people who are in the directory and have an email address can view the directory. It requires a login (email address and password) to ensure the privacy of our members and their families. Guests can be part of the directory who aren’t members or associate members.
How do I get access to the online directory?
You will receive an email from Courtyard with the subject line “Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Online Directory.” This email includes a link to click to activate your account. You will need to provide a password of your choosing to create an account. To access the directory going forward, go to http://goodshepherddecorah.courtyardapp.com/. Or, click on Good Shepherd’s website CONNECT tab for a direct link to the directory. Check your SPAM if you do not think you have received an email invitation.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the login page, click the “forgot password” link to go to the forgot password page. Enter your email address to request a password reset link. Then check your email program for an email from Courtyard and follow the instructions.
I don’t have an email address or I just like having a printed copy. How do I request one OR print one for myself?
There are two ways. Request a print version by contacting the church office. A free-will offering of $5.00 is welcome. OR in the online directory, go to the Export page and click the blue “Download” button on the right side. You can choose to download just text (Directory PDF) or with photos (Combined PDF). You can print the PDF at home if you have a printer or send it to a local printer for printing.
How is the directory kept up-to-date?
Additions and updates must be submitted to the church office. They will be added to the online version as soon as they are processed and will be published in the monthly newsletters for the use of those who have print versions. REMEMBER to refresh the directory on your computer, tablet, or SmartPhone so you always see the updated version.
Is there an app for this?
Absolutely! You can download a Courtyard app either on the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play (Android). Make sure to search for “Courtyard” church directory software. Once installed enter the subdirectory “goodshepherddecorah.”
How can I arrange for a photo to appear on my family profile page?
Contact the church office so that a photo can be taken. office@goodshepherddecorah.com
