Redecorating at Good Shepherd, Part 2

IMG_1781

Another lively crew painted the hallway, back entry, and Fellowship Hall entry today, Monday, April 13.  Rolling scaffolding helped move the project along.  All paint cans were opened so the guesstimate on the amount of paint needed was right on.  In addition, Bob Felde was commissioned to paint the parking lot light poles in today’s buffeting winds. Fortunately team leader Jim Fritz had rigged up a ladder, secured with safety belts on his John Deere tractor, to add extra height.

One of the recipients is Good Shepherd Charter Member Richard Dinger.   It would be nice if some folks from Good Shepherd would attend the presentation and be there to help honor Richard. The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation <http://www.qovf.org/> is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.  Over 1,400 quilts have been awarded this month alone.  All members of the Quilts of Valor Foundation staff are volunteers.  Marie Freerking is a QOV member and will be assisting with this presentation.
