| Welcome to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The following pages will provide you with some
basic information about this community of faith.
This is a congregation which seeks to practice hospitality in its deepest sense. Knowing that God has brought us in through Baptism, we try to make a space where people can become connected to each other and to God, so that we might reveal the gentle presence of a compassionate God in the midst of a broken world. As people who gather around the Lord's Table, we go out to be the Body of Christ in all of the different places to which God has called us. And then we come back to be refreshed by Word and Sacrament and by each other's encouragement so that we can do it all over again. We are glad to share this journey, with all its joys and sorrows, struggles and victories with you. We invite you to join us each week for worship. Worship services are held on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings. Saturday services begin at 5:00 p.m.; the service is intimate and follows a more contemporary order of worship. Sunday services are held at 9:30 a.m. throughout the year, the service follows the general liturgy from the new Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) and incorporates hymns from the ELW and With One Voice (WOV). Holy Communion is celebrated on the first, third and fifth Saturdays/Sundays of each month and on the major festivals of the church year. Once again, welcome to Good Shepherd!
